Our family had the pleasure of staying at Duckling Cottage in the Lake District, using it as a perfect home base for exploring the stunning surroundings. As parents of two young children, the family-friendly amenities and activities offered at the cottage were a welcome surprise. the convenience of having everything we needed was a game-changer, from bedding and towels to WiFi and a dishwasher. the two en-suite bedrooms provided ample space for our little ones to have their own comfortable retreats after a day of adventure. One highlight for us was the short walk down the hill to Lake Windermere, where we enjoyed leisurely strolls along the water's edge and boat rides to take in the picturesque views. the location just off the High Street in Bowness-on-Windermere made it easy to explore local shops and eateries with our children in tow. Overall, Duckling Cottage exceeded our expectations and left us eager to return next year if the opportunity presents itself. It truly made our family getaway in the Lake District a memorable experience.
